How It Happened
- The game remained scoreless until Samantha Richter found the back of the net just before the 10-minute mark. Five different Scarlet Raiders scored their first goal of the season before the intermission and the hosts outshot the Bears 27-0 with 20 coming on target in the period.
- Rutgers continued to control the play throughout the second stanza and held the Bears without a shot until the penultimate minute of regulation when Christina Caruso fired a shot that prompted a Heidi Paulson save and earned St. Joseph's their first corner.
