Women's Soccer Downed by Ramapo

MAHWAH, N.J. — The St. Joseph's University, N.Y. – Brooklyn women's soccer team resumed non-conference play, dropping a 0-9 decision to Ramapo College on Saturday afternoon.

The Roadrunners' Morgan Korinchak, one of two players with multiple goals, got the scoring underway within the first five minutes and added a second goal shortly after. The Bears managed to keep the deficit at two for roughly 20 minutes before the hosts scored their third of six goals in the first half. Less than three minutes into the second half, Ramapo added a seventh goal, sealing their 9-0 victory with two goals scored within three minutes starting at the 78th minute.

Rookie Sydney Castillo (Midland, Texas/Greenwood) came up with 12 saves in her first appearance in goal.

The Bears host Farmingdale State College at Aviator Field on Tuesday, September 17 at 3:30 pm.
