YONKERS, N.Y. — The St. Joseph's University, N.Y. – Brooklyn women's soccer team suffered an 0-8 defeat to Sarah Lawrence College on Wednesday night from Fleming Field.
The Gryphons first struck in the seventh minute, courtesy of Hannah Chaffin, securing a brace seven minutes later. The hosts wrapped up the first 45 minutes with four additional goals, including a pair in the final two minutes, confirming a 6-0 halftime scoreline.
Sarah Lawrence added two more goals in the second half, netting goals in the 54th and 72nd minutes, securing their 8-0 win.
The Bears saw a shot on target from Casey Hobbs (Surprise, Ariz./Vista Valley) and 22 saves from Lindsay Dominguez (Bellerose, N.Y./LaGuardia).
SJBK hosts St. Joseph's (Long Island) at Aviator Field on Saturday, September 28 at 5 pm.
