THROGGS NECK, N.Y. — The St. Joseph's University, New York (Brooklyn) women's soccer team fell 0–3 on the road to SUNY Maritime College on Saturday afternoon at Reinhart Field.
After a scoreless opening half in which Lindsay Dominguez (Bellerose, N.Y.) made 15 saves to keep the match level, the Privateers broke through on a direct free kick in the 53rd minute and doubled its lead in the 81st. A third tally in the 85th minute closed the scoring.
The Bears generated one shot in the match while working to absorb sustained pressure in its defensive third. Dominguez finished with 30 saves—15 in each half—as the Bears battled through 59 shots faced.
The Bears conclude their regular season on Wednesday, October 29 at 4 pm from Aviator Field, hosting Mount Saint Mary College.
