BROOKLYN, N.Y. — The St. Joseph's University, N.Y. (Brooklyn) women's soccer team fell to visiting Sarah Lawrence College on Saturday afternoon at Aviator Field, 0-10.
The Gryphons struck early, breaking through in the second minute and adding a second tally in the 12th. The Bears weathered the pressure for much of the opening half, with goalkeeper Jamie Tuba (Brooklyn, N.Y.) recording three saves to keep the margin manageable. However, Sarah Lawrence capitalized on a late surge, netting three goals in the final five minutes of the half to take a 5–0 lead into the break.
Switching goalkeepers at halftime, Brianna Davidson (Clarendon, Jamaica) anchored the second half in net and stopped five shots, highlighted by back-to-back saves in the 50th and 58th minutes. The Bears battled to close space and force the visitors wide, limiting the visitors to just 18 shots on goal out of 44 attempts, but Sarah Lawrence converted five more times in the final 45 minutes to secure the result.
