BROOKLYN, N.Y. — The St. Joseph's University, New York (Brooklyn) men's basketball team recorded a 92–64 win over Medgar Evers College on Tuesday night at The Hill Center in its home debut.
The Bears opened the game with a series of interior scores and second-chance opportunities, creating early separation behind activity on the offensive glass. Jorden Bennett (Westhampton, N.Y.) established position inside with multiple put-backs and rebounds, while Justin Munson (Middle Village, N.Y.) added a pair of layups in transition during the opening stretch. The Bears' defense forced 11 first-half turnovers, converting several into fast-break points, and held the Cougars to 8-of-35 shooting in the period. St. Joseph's closed the half on a 12–5 run, including baskets from Bennett and a late three from Colin Mills (White Plains, N.Y.), to enter the break ahead 44–25.
In the second half, St. Joseph's maintained control through its rebounding and pace of play. Jonathan Reno (Staten Island, N.Y.) initiated several scoring possessions, including a corner three and two assisted layups during a 15–6 Bears stretch that extended the lead. Adam Jasaraj (Staten Island, N.Y.) added inside scoring and continued pressure on the offensive boards while Austin Wrynn (Port Washington, N.Y.) contributed mid-range makes and defensive rebounds. SJBK totaled 32 points in the paint after halftime and added another 15 fast-break points, pushing the margin and securing the 28-point win.

Jasaraj posted eight points and eight rebounds, six of which came on the offensive end of the floor. Munson finished with 10 points and five boards, and Justin Nazon (Staten Island, N.Y.) recorded seven points, four rebounds, and two steals.
