BRONX, N.Y. – The St. Joseph's University, N.Y. (Brooklyn) women's volleyball team earned a straight-set victory (25-12, 25-13, 25-19) over Lehman College on Friday evening at The APEX.

In the opening set, the Bears capitalized on an efficient .323 attack percentage, with Carissa Zwiefelhofer (North Bend, Wash.) providing five kills to establish control early. The team also registered four service aces in the frame, with Taylor Knight (San Ramon, Calif.) notching a pair, to build a double-digit lead and close out 25-12.

The second set featured six aces from the Bears' servers, including two from Knight and Juliette DiVittorio (Astoria, N.Y.), which helped widen the gap despite Lehman's attempts to adjust. The Bears built a steady advantage midway through the set and closed it out 25-13 to move in front two sets to none.

The third set was more competitive, with the Lightning staying within striking distance through the midway point. With Rachel Meltsin (Brooklyn, N.Y.) directing the attack and Zwiefelhofer finishing key points, the Bears closed out the set 25-19 to seal the match in straight sets.
