FARMINGDALE, N.Y. — The St. Joseph's University, New York (Brooklyn) men's basketball team was defeated 92–60 by Farmingdale State College on Saturday afternoon at Nold Hall, opening the 2026 portion of their schedule.
The Bears briefly held a three-point advantage early following a three-pointer from Adam Jasaraj (Staten Island, N.Y.) and points in the paint from Colin Mills (White Plains, N.Y.) and Austin Wrynn (Port Washington, N.Y.). However, the Rams responded with a sustained run fueled by offensive rebounds and transition scoring. Jacob Idowu (Wiesbaden, Germany) provided interior production throughout the half despite the Bears closing their deficit to two, 26-24 on Nazareth Warren's (Brooklyn, N.Y.) free throws with 6:05 remaining. Farmingdale State carried a 42–32 lead into halftime after shooting 50 percent from the field in the opening period.
The Rams extended their lead early in the second half, pushing the margin beyond 20 within the first five minutes. The Bears generated offense through paint touches and fast-break chances, with Warren and Maxwell Wignall (Rocky Point, N.Y.) each converting inside during a mid-half stretch. The hosts maintained control to close out the contest with their second Skyline Conference win in as many outings.
Idowu led St. Joseph's with 13 points and six rebounds. Warren added 10 points and came within a rebound of a double-double. Wignall finished with seven points while Mills, Wrynn, and Maven Cummings (Brooklyn, N.Y.) all totaled six points.
The Bears continue Skyline Conference play on Wednesday, January 7, visiting SUNY Old Westbury.
