PURCHASE, N.Y. — The St. Joseph's University, New York (Brooklyn) baseball team concluded the 2026 season with 2-14 and 1-7 losses to the University of Mount Saint Vincent on Saturday afternoon at Purchase College.
Game 1
The Dolphins hit the Bears for six runs in the opening inning, holding a 7-0 lead after two. Trailing 8-0 in the fifth, Matt Arcati (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and Ronan Garrett (South Berwick, Maine) scored a pair of runs, putting St. Joseph's on the board. Another six-run stanza, this time in the sixth, propelled Mount Saint Vincent to the 14-2 triumph.
Seven Bears registered hits, all of which were singles. Starting pitcher Kris Vinski (Bridgehampton, N.Y.) was dealt the loss.
Game 2
Senior Vincent Camerada (Staten Island, N.Y.) doubled in Jayden Loccisano (Massapequa, N.Y.) in the opening inning. The Bears' lead was erased in the second as the Dolphins plated three runs. SJBK starter Camden Wallace (Riverhead, N.Y.) followed by tossing three scoreless innings.
A pair of singles and a two-RBI double in the sixth gave UMSV a 7-1 lead, holding on to the result.
In his final collegiate game, Arcati batted 3-for-4. George Demacopoulos (Flushing, N.Y.) and Joe Meglio (Howard Beach, N.Y.) rounded out the Bears with hits. Wallace struck out four bats in the deficit.
