Rich Pecoraro was named the head coach of the St. Joseph's University, N.Y. (Brooklyn) baseball program in July 2024. A 2013 graduate of St. Joseph's (Long Island), Pecoraro brings over a decade of experience in baseball operations, coaching, and program management to Clinton Hill. Previously a hitting and infielders assistant coach at SUNY Old Westbury, he helped the Panthers achieve notable successes, including Skyline Conference tournament berths and an appearance in the championship series in pandemic-shortened 2021 season. The 2024 season saw his Panthers team produce a combined .477 slugging percentage and .404 on-base percentage — both good enough to crack the conference's top five.
Pecoraro also works as a personal baseball and softball instructor at MaX Effort Baseball and has held various other coaching and program management roles.
A Long Island native, Pecoraro currently resides in the Ridgewood neighborhood of Queens.
