However, the St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) men's basketball team came up short at The Hill Center versus Yeshiva University on Tuesday night 79-67.

- Following an 8-0 Bears' run to bring the game within four, Yeshiva ran off on their own 10-0 spurt to take control, 55-41.
How It Happened
- Kavan Meiner (Staten Island, N.Y./Susan Wagner) scored six points early to give SJC an 8-5 lead with 15:47 left in first half. Subsequently, Yeshiva rattled off a 16-0 run to give them a 21-8 lead with 9:30 to go.
- The Bears allowed nine threes in the first half giving Yeshiva a 41-28 lead going into intermission. Meiner carried the hosts before the break, totaling 10 points and five rebounds, but they trailed 41-28 after 20 minutes.
- A 13-4 St. Joseph's run to start the second half cut the lead 45-41 with 16:30 on the clock behind scores from four different Bears. Skyline scoring-leader Simcha Halpert would then score five quick points to squash the momentum.
- Sirakis sparked another comeback finishing with 16 points in the second half, and he made it a 61-69 game with a long-range bucket (5:30). However, the Bears couldn't catch up to Yeshiva down the stretch and picked up their first loss in league play.

- Sirakis passed out five helpers and nabbed a steal to compliment his game-high 27.
- Meiner finished with 17 on an uber-efficient 8-for-10 shooting night, along with a game-high eight rebounds.
