BROOKLYN, N.Y. — The St. Joseph's University, N.Y. – Brooklyn women's soccer team celebrated Senior Day on Saturday afternoon at Aviator Field; honoring Lauren Van Der Kamp (Sacramento, Calif.), Maya O'Neal-Davis (Woodbridge, Va.), Bethany Perez (Phelan, Calif.), and Hayden Reis (Atlanta, Ga.) before kickoff. The Bears would drop a 0-6 result to SUNY Maritime College.
How it Happened
Despite the Privateers' persistent attempts at goal, the Bears withstood the pressure for a large portion of the first half. The visitors opened their account in the 22nd minute, adding a second three minutes later. Maritime ended the half with a 3-0 advantage.
The Privateers added to their tally after 74 minutes before goals in the 80th and 82nd minutes confirmed their 6-0 win.
Van Der Kamp and Casey Hobbs (Suprise, Ariz.) combined for three shots on target while Sydney Castillo (Midland, Texas) registered eight saves.
