BROOKLYN, N.Y. — The St. Joseph's University, N.Y. – Brooklyn men's basketball team dropped their non-conference finale to Saint Elizabeth University, 73-82, on Monday night at The Hill Center.Â
How it Happened
The Eagles held a narrow lead for much of the first half, leading by no more than five through the first 10 minutes. SEU restored their lead but contributions from Mills and Joshua Gordon (Brooklyn, N.Y.) in the final 63 seconds reduced the visitors' lead to 41-39 at the break.
Saint Elizabeth gradually built a double-digit lead in the second half, maintaining a 12-point advantage at 13:08, 58-46. A four-point play by Timothy Richardson (Ozone Park, N.Y.) brought St. Joseph's within four, 63-59. However, that was as close as the Bears would get, as SEU regained their double-digit lead and extended it to 14 points at 3:33. The Eagles then held on to secure an 82-73 victory.
