BROOKLYN, N.Y. — The St. Joseph's University, N.Y. - Brooklyn men's soccer team opened the new season with a 1-2 defeat to Brooklyn College on Friday night from Aviator Field.
How it Happened
The Bulldogs struck first courtesy of a 25th-minute penalty. The SJBK deficit lasted 10 minutes as senior defender Matthew Kieblesz (Middle Village, N.Y./Monsignor McClancy) headed Pablo Mejia's corner-kick delivery past the Brooklyn goalkeeper to equalize the proceedings.
In the 67th minute, the Bulldogs regained the lead. Despite the Bears' efforts to draw the match level, they were unable to do so and ultimately lost 2-1.
