Men's Soccer Comes Up Short Against Hartford

Hartford, Conn. — Senior defender Matthew Kieblesz (Middle Village, N.Y./Monsignor McClancy) found the back of the net for the second time in as many matches. However, the St. Joseph's University, N.Y. (Brooklyn) men's soccer team were unable to break the University of Hartford; falling 1-2 on Tuesday night.

How It Happened

In the fourth minute, the Hawks scored the first goal of the match. The Bears found the back of the net within the next ten minutes coming on a low shot from Kieblesz with Pablo Mejia (Elmhurst, N.Y./Academy of Finance and Enterprise) providing the assist. The first half ended 1-1.

The 65th minute saw the Hawks slip through the Bears defense to regain the lead. The Bears were unable to find many chances in the second half as the the match finished 2-1 in favor of the hosts.

For the Bears
