NEWARK, N.J. — The St. Joseph's University, N.Y. – Brooklyn women's soccer team earned their first win of the season, picking up a 3-0 result against Yeshiva University on Sunday afternoon from the campus of the New Jersey Institute of Technology. The match marked the Bears' first Skyline Conference fixture of the campaign.
How it Happened
With the Bears attacking the Maccabee goal, Casey Hobbs (Surprise, Ariz./Valley Vista) opened the scoring in the 20th minute. The navy and gray continued to threaten but were held to the 1-0 edge at the half.
The junior set up the Bears' second goal by delivering a ball to Katherine Barrios (Mamaroneck, N.Y./Mamaroneck) in the 59th minute. Hobbs scored again in the 72nd minute to seal a 3-0 victory and secure St. Joseph's' first win of the season.
