PURCHASE, N.Y. — The St. Joseph's University, N.Y. – Brooklyn men's basketball team suffered a 66-75 defeat against Purchase College on Saturday afternoon.
How it Happened
Purchase held a 22-10 lead with 11 minutes left in the first half, their biggest advantage of the period. Trailing 27-18 three minutes later, the Bears amassed nine unanswered points to tie the contest at 27, ultimately using a 16-5 run to hold a 34-32 lead at halftime. Justin Nazon (Staten Island, N.Y.) and Timothy Richardson (Ozone Park, N.Y.) accounted for 12 of the 16 points in the stretch.
The Panthers opened the second half with a three-pointer 15 seconds in. Maintaining their lead throughout the period, the Bears pulled within 53-50 at the 10:44 mark. However, that would be as close as St. Joseph's would get, as the hosts held on for a 75-66 win.

Colin Mills (White Plains, N.Y.) had 25 points, one shy of a game-high and three short of matching his season-best. He also had four rebounds and a pair of steals.

Nazon had 13 points and as many rebounds, registering his second double-double of the season. He also had three assists.

Joshua Gordon (Brooklyn, N.Y.) finished with nine points, five rebounds, and three blocks.
