PURCHASE, N.Y. — The St. Joseph's University, New York (Brooklyn) women's soccer team was held off the scoresheet in a 0–6 setback to Manhattanville University on Saturday afternoon.
The hosts struck early, tallying three goals within the opening 12 minutes to build a cushion that carried into halftime. Manhattanville doubled its advantage after the break, adding goals in the 55th, 71st, and 89th minutes to close out the scoring.
Goalkeeper Lindsay Dominguez (Bellerose, N.Y.) recorded eight saves for the Bears, including six in the second half as St. Joseph's battled through 27 shots faced and limited the Valiants to just one penalty conversion after denying the initial attempt.
The Bears host Senior Day at Aviator Field on Saturday, October 18 at 10:30 am against the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.
