PURCHASE, N.Y. — The St. Joseph's University, New York (Brooklyn) men's soccer team dropped its road matchup to Manhattanville University, 0-9, on Saturday afternoon.
The hosts took control early, striking three times within the opening 14 minutes and carrying a 3–0 advantage into halftime. Joshua Lucano (Elmhurst, N.Y.) recorded the Bears' lone shot of the period, while goalkeeper Edwin Sacramento (Brooklyn, N.Y.) made five first-half saves to limit further damage.
Matthew Galetta (Bohemia, N.Y.) entered in goal after the break and stopped eight shots in the final 45 minutes, but the Valiants continued to apply pressure, netting six second-half tallies to close out the result.
The Bears look to regroup in their sibling rivalry matchup on Wednesday, October 15 against St. Joseph's (Long Island) at 4 pm from Aviator Field.
