NEWBURGH, N.Y. — The St. Joseph's University, New York (Brooklyn) men's soccer team closed out its 2025 campaign with a 0–7 setback on the road to Mount Saint Mary College on Wednesday evening at Kaplan Field.
The Knights struck twice in the opening half and added five more after halftime. The Bears generated five shots on the night, led by three from Matthew Cottone (Oakdale, N.Y.). Seniors Pablo Mejia (Elmhurst, N.Y.) and Lorenzo LaRosa (Astoria, N.Y.) also had attempts at goal.
Rookie goalkeepers Matthew Galetta (Bohemia, N.Y.) and Edwin Sacramento (Brooklyn, N.Y.) combined for 11 saves. The former made seven saves in his 55 minutes in goal before Sacramento entered for the remainder of the match and recorded four more stops.
