BROOKLYN, N.Y. — The St. Joseph's University, New York (Brooklyn) men's soccer team battled back from an early deficit but ultimately fell 1-3 to Sarah Lawrence College in Skyline Conference play on Saturday afternoon at Aviator Field.
The Gryphons struck first in the 23rd minute, but the Bears quickly answered as Alexander Kudrick (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) netted his second goal of the season in the 30th, set up by Joshua Lucano (Elmhurst, N.Y.). Sarah Lawrence regained the lead just three minutes later and carried a 2–1 advantage into the break.
St. Joseph's pushed for an equalizer in the second half, generating seven shots with efforts on frame from Kudrick, Joaquin Franco (Brooklyn, N.Y.), and Veton Dudus (New York, N.Y.), but they were turned away. The visitors added insurance in the 89th minute.
Edwin Sacramento (Brooklyn, N.Y.) kept the Bears in it throughout with a season-high 10 saves.
