BROOKLYN, N.Y. — The St. Joseph's University, N.Y. – Brooklyn men's basketball team was defeated by Manhattanville University on Saturday afternoon, 64-77.
How It Happened
The Valiants built a 10-2 lead to start but the Bears countered with an 11-3 run thanks to treys from Justin Nazon (Staten Island, N.Y.) and Timothy Richardson (Ozone Park, N.Y.) and a fast-break layup from Chris Williams (Trenton, N.J.) to tie things up at 13. Manhattanville restored their lead but free throws from Colin Mills (White Plains, N.Y.) and Jonathan Reno (Staten Island, N.Y.) saw the score deadlocked at 29-29 going into halftime.
In the second half, the Bears led by as many as eight, 45-37, with strong offensive contributions from Richardson and Mills. However, the Valiants regained control down the stretch to secure the victory, 77-64.

Reno rounded out the trio in double figures with 12 points on 4-of-6 shooting.

Nazon dished out a team-high 7 assists to go with nine points and five boards.

Joshua Gordon (Brooklyn, N.Y.) was the team's leading rebounder, posting nine boards. He also had six points and four blocks.
