NEW PALTZ, N.Y. —- The St. Joseph's N.Y. - Brooklyn baseball team fell to SUNY New Paltz, 4-14, on Wednesday afternoon.
How it Happened
The Bears got the ball rolling as Vincent Camerada (Staten Island, N.Y.) singled in the game's first at-bat before scoring on a balk. The Hawks tied it in the bottom of the first before pulling ahead with five more runs over the next three innings.
Trailing 9-1 in the eighth, the Bears found their way back on the board. Matthew Quinones (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and Matt Arcati (Brooklyn, N.Y.) both scored on Christopher Stegmuller's (Baldwin, N.Y.) two-RBI single as part of a three-run frame, 9-4. New Paltz put up five runs in the bottom of the eighth, ending the game early with a 14-4 victory for the Hawks, as the ninth inning was not contested.
