BROOKLYN, N.Y. — The St. Joseph's University, New York (Brooklyn) women's basketball team earned a 77–60 Skyline Conference victory Tuesday night against Yeshiva University.

The Bears opened the game strong, jumping out to a 21–11 advantage after one quarter. Mercedes Perez (San Antonio, Texas) paced the early scoring with a trio of three-pointers, while Emma Centrella (Varese, Italy) added buckets inside to help the Bears control the tempo.

The second quarter saw both teams trade runs, with the Maccabees narrowing the margin through a 9-0 run late in the stanza. However, St. Joseph's continued to find points from balance across its lineup; carrying a 32–29 lead into halftime, holding off YU's early comeback attempt.

Out of the break, SJBK delivered its most decisive stretch, outscoring Yeshiva 25–18 in the third quarter. Nikki Grech (Northville, Mich.) spearheaded the offense while Perez continued to find offense from deep and Kristen Donovan (Maspeth, N.Y.) banked key buckets as the Bears extended the lead to 57–47 entering the fourth.
