Box Score 2 BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — The St. Joseph's University, N.Y. – Brooklyn softball team fell to Manhattanville University 0-14 and 1-11 on Sunday afternoon from a damp LIU Post Softball Complex in Brookville.

The Valiants broke the game open in the second inning, scoring eight runs to spark their offensive surge. They added four more in the fourth and two in the fifth on five hits, en route to a 14-0 run-rule victory over the Bears.
How it Happened (Game 2)
Manhattanville opened the scoring with a leadoff home run to right, but the Bears responded as Vivian Garcia (Eastvale, Calif.) crossed the plate on a fielder's choice for their lone run of the day. The Valiants answered with three runs in the following frame to pull ahead, 4-1.
The visitors added a fifth run in the fourth inning before a five-run fifth added further separation, confirming an 11-1 result.
For the Bears (Game 1)

Payton Walker (Eastvale, Calif.) and Kiara Coy (Clifton, N.J.) each finished 2-for-2.

Garcia and Leila Heller (Belle Chasse, La.) both went 1-for-2.

For the Bears (Game 2)

Olivia Martinez (Tomball, Texas) registered the lone hit for the Bears while Walker recorded an RBI.
