McClancy) 11 (4-6, 2-4 3FG), as opposed to John Jay's two proved to be the difference in the Bears' second win in as many games.

How It Happened

• The Bears concluded the first quarter holding a convincing 23-6 lead that wouldn't falter. Rookie Kelly O'Donnell paced the hosts in the period with nine points.
• St. Joseph's wouldn't back down in the second, as a combined 26 from O'Donnell and junior Kellie O'Neill (Brooklyn, N.Y./St. Edmund Prep) gave them a 47-19 halftime advantage.
