The Bears scored eight points, propelled by triples from Kristen Donovan (Maspeth, N.Y./Archbishop Molloy) and Aaniya Telford (Brooklyn, N.Y./Fontbonne Hall Academy) to lead 53-49. Down by 10 with 1:49 in the period, 62-52, the hosts erased their deficit as the game was deadlocked at 62 entering the fourth quarter.
Daniella Rothman hit a jumper in the paint to cap off Yeshiva's 12-point scoring run. The Bears reclaimed the lead two minutes later but the pendulum swung back in YU's favor. With 90 seconds remaining, SJBK took the lead on a pair of Destiny Hurt (Elmont, N.Y./Sewanhaka) free throws. The Maccabees ties it once more with 20 seconds left, 78-78, but free throws from Kiley and Telford sealed the result in the Bears' favor.
