Box Score Farmingdale, N.Y — The St. Joseph's University, N.Y. – Brooklyn women's basketball team lost to Farmingdale State, 52-87, on Saturday afternoon from Nold Hall.
How It Happened
The Rams were the first to see the basket to start the game, opening with a 16-2 run. Nikki Grech (Northville, Mich.) and Kristen Donovan (Maspeth, N.Y.) provided the scoring for SJBK but the Bears still found themselves down 30-11. Donavan helped reduce the difference by but by halftime, Farmingdale State led 55-28.
The Bears continued to keep pace with the Rams behind 11 combined points from Donovan and Mercedes Perez (San Antonio, Texas). Despite a 15-15 third quarter, the hosts led 70-42 at the end of the period before earning a 87-52.
