BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The St. Joseph's University, New York (Brooklyn) Department of Athletics and Recreation has announced its 2024–25 Bears Scholar-Athlete Team, recognizing 48 student-athletes who posted a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher during the 2024–25 academic year. This year's squad represents the ninth Scholar-Athlete Team in program history and the first to be recognized under the department's transition from a calendar-year to an academic-year format.
During the Spring 2025 semester, Bears student-athletes combined for a 3.1581 cumulative grade-point average across 11 intercollegiate programs. Eight of the 48 honorees recorded perfect 4.0 GPAs across the Fall 2024 and/or Spring 2025 semesters, while 18 earned College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District recognition. Men's soccer standout Victor Naci (Bordeaux, France/Bernard Palissy) was named a Third Team CSC Academic All-American following the 2024 season, becoming just the fourth student-athlete in department history to receive the honor. The team also includes the inaugural 10 members of the New York Beta Delta Chapter of Chi Alpha Sigma, the national honor society for collegiate student-athletes.
The members of the Bears Scholar-Athlete Team are listed below. The team will be recognized at halftime of Tuesday's men's basketball game against Lehman College. Student-athletes who have yet to do so, should confirm attendance with
