Box Score BROOKLYN N.Y. — The St. Joseph's N.Y. - Brooklyn women's basketball team honored their three seniors; Grace Kennedy (Maspeth, N.Y.), Shanna Bliss (Astoria, N.Y.), and Katherine Barrios (Mamaroneck, N.Y.); on Saturday afternoon in their final home game of the 2024-25 season. The Bears dropped their contest to Mount Saint Mary College, 50-79, at The Hill Center.Â
How it Happened
The Bears jumped out to an early lead after a Grace Kennedy three pointer at the 7:36 mark in the first quarter. The rest of the quarter was back and forth as the Bears trailed 16-14 at the end of the quarter. The Knights would go on a strong 11-2 run over the final 5:49 of the second stanza, where they led 34-24 at the break.Â
The Bears were outscored 23-13 in the third quarter and the knights added 20 to the fourth quarter. The Knights would go on to win by a score of 79-50.Â
For the Bears
- Kristen Donovan (Maspeth, N.Y.) led all scorers with 20 points on the board. She also had five rebounds and three steals.
- Dominika Sanchez (Guayaquil, Ecuador) added eight points while Jasmine Chan-Clayton (Melbourne, Australia) and Aaniya Telford (Brooklyn, N.Y.) had seven and six points, respectively.Â
- Seniors combined for nine points, six rebounds, and four assists in their final home games.Â
