THROGGS NECK, N.Y. — The St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) baseball team ended Maritime College's season last year at Reinhart Field with a first-round upset in the Skyline Championships. On Sunday at the same field, the Privateers returned the favor and dealt the Bears a 21-6 defeat as St. Joseph's tried to clinch a postseason berth but saw their season come to a close with a 14-19 record, finishing in seventh place in the Skyline Conference.

Sophomore John Condon (Oceanside, N.Y./Oceanside) knocked a pair of hits to close out the season on a team-long 12 game hitting streak and sits on 99 career hits.

• The Privateers batted first as the game was a Bears home game, but relocated to Maritime last minute due to unplayable field conditions.
• Maritime stunned the Bears with eight runs in the first—the first eight batters reaching successfully without an out—as the Privateers knocked nine hits in the frame, more than the Bears finished with for the contest.
• Maritime led 14-0 before the St. Joseph's got on the board in the fourth with RBI singles from Francis Rapp and Adam Schwartz.
• The Bears added two more runs in the sixth on a Schwartz grounder and a Luke Rehn two-out RBI single, but could never cut into the deficit.

• John Condon extended his hitting streak with a single in the second and was robbed of his 100th career hit in the seventh, but finished 2-for-4 with a run scored to lead the Bears.
• Adam Schwartz was the top run producer with two RBI and batted 1-for-3.

• Francis Rapp knocked a single in the fourth to stretch his hitting streak to 10 games. He also walked and scored in the sixth.
• Nicholas LoPrinzi singled and scored in the fourth and walked in the seventh to push his reached base safely streak to a team-best 17 games.
• Jim Kennedy retired the only two batters he faced, entering with runners on first and second in the sixth, and induced a double play and fly out.
