BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Kristen Donovan (Maspeth, N.Y.) of the St. Joseph's University, N.Y. – Brooklyn women's basketball team was named a Division II/III Honorable Mention in the final weekly report of the season by the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association on Tuesday morning. It is the junior's first recognition from the organization in her collegiate career.
Donovan, who played all 80 minutes in the Bears' 2-0 week to close the 2024-25 season, averaged 17.5 points and 11 rebounds. She scored 17 points while dishing out five assists and forcing as many steals against Sarah Lawrence last Wednesday evening. Against Yeshiva on Saturday night, she produced 18 points, on 4-of-9 shooting from beyond the arc, three assists, and a pair of steals; collecting 11 boards in each contest.
Averaging 13 points per game this season, Donovan places third in the Skyline Conference with a .318 three-point field-goal percentage and ranks seventh in points per game.
The Bears ended the campaign with a 9-15 overall record and an 8-12 mark in Skyline Conference play, doubling their league win total from the 2023-24 season.
